Joint

The design engineer shall specify the acceptable type of joints in consideration of the operating and testing conditions.
For example the bell and spigot joint with 2 O-Ring gaskets, that can be hydro-tested by pressurizing the chamber between the O-Rings is a valid alternative to hydro-testing short sections (300-500 m) of the pipeline leaving the joints uncovered for inspection.

For lines with many changes in directions the same joint can be supplied with the locking key and the anchor blocks can be avoided.
